Welded Samurai Sculpture

This Welded Samurai Sculpture stands almost as tall as me and it weighs approximately 25 pounds. It was built it Florence Italy and remains there to this day.

It is comprised of scrap (rusted) metal. This sculpture took me a couple of weeks to complete (4 hours a week). I desired to make a samurai sculpture to show how I felt at that point in my life. This is a representation of how I felt about the enemy and how I was ready to fight. The samurai is in fighting stance, ready to engage in combat with his enemy. This structure is a product of my "sophomore project". I say this because when I was in the midst of depression, I felt as though I could do nothing. I could not defend myself from the enemy. Because of God, I am now able to stand my ground and fight the enemy with a wielded sword.
